Lynn is a Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates instructor who draws on her dance teaching background to inform and educate her clients to prevent, diagnose, manage and rehabilitate their injuries.
Lynn’s clinical areas of interest include general musculoskeletal issues, sports and performing arts physiotherapy with a special interest in the management of headaches, shoulder injuries, foot and ankle injuries and back pain. She also draws on her combined physiotherapy and elite dancing background for dance injury management, pre pointe assessment and dance specific rehabilitation.
Lynn has degree qualifications in Physiotherapy (University of Melbourne), Creative Arts (Macquarie University), and Exercise Science (University of Wollongong). She also has further training in clinical pilates and vocal physiotherapy.
She has worked with Gymnastics Australia, Underwater Hockey Australia and the National Institute of Circus Arts, and currently works as Dance Science co-ordinator for the Glenn Wood Tap school. Lynn has a particular interest in the performing arts and uses her skills to assist dancers, gymnasts, circus performers, pole dancers, vocalists and musicians. With a long background in dance teaching prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Lynn also enjoys working with children.
Being a former professional performer herself Lynn understands the importance of efficient muscle activation and appropriate strength and balance for activity and life!
