An Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) is the most highly qualified of all Allied Health Practitioners who can assist with nutrition and dietary advice. Our Dietitian can assist all people who wish to achieve optimum health status by providing strategies and motivation to address health concerns including bowel concerns, diabetes, heart disease, and food allergies, as well as general lifestyle, healthy eating advice. Dietetics and weight management services include:

Enhanced Primary Care patients are welcome. Patients will be bulk billed with a valid GP referral. Patients please note that the referral and Medicare card must be presented before consultation for bulk billing to occur.

Food Intolerances and Allergies
It is becoming increasingly common for patients to present with intolerances to things found regularly in your diet such as gluten and fructose. Many of these intolerances however remain undiagnosed and unfortunately can lead to inflammatory bowel diseases and cancers. At the Physiotherapy, Pialtes and Health Centre our Dietitian has experience at diagnosing an manageing these conditions. This is often achieved in close liaision with your GP. You may be required to have a blood test to assist in your diagnosis.

Loren is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Accredited Sports Dietitian having completed five years of full time study. This includes a Bachelor in Food Science & Nutrition (RMIT), a Master of Dietetics (Deakin) and the Sports Dietitians course at the AIS in Canberra.
